Sayyid al-Istighfar
Outre « Astaghfirullah », le Prophète (ﷺ) a enseigné aux Sahabah la duʿāʾ complète appelée Sayyid al-Istighfar — la meilleure formule pour demander le pardon.
Le croyant y affirme la Seigneurie d’Allah et Son culte exclusif, reconnaît ses manquements et Le remercie pour Ses bienfaits. Celui qui la dit le soir avec conviction et meurt avant le matin — ou le matin et meurt avant le soir — entre au Paradis, selon le hadith authentique.
استغفر الله العظيم من كل زور نطقت به
Astaghfirullāh al-ʿAẓīm min kulli zūrin nuṭiqtu bih.

Les mérites de l’istighfar dans le Coran et la Sunna
Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Celui qui s’attache à l’istighfar, Allah lui ouvrira une issue à toute difficulté, un soulagement à toute détresse et une subsistance d’où il ne l’attend pas. »
اللهم أنت ربي لا إله إلا أنت، خلقتني وأنا عبدك، وأنا على عهدك ووعدك ما استطعت، أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت، أبوء لك بنعمتك عليَّ، وأبوء بذنبي، فاغفر لي، فإنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت.
Allāhumma Anta Rabbī lā ilāha illā Ant, khalaqtanī wa anā ʿabduk, wa anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa waʿdika mā staṭaʿt, aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿt, abūʾu laka biniʿmatika ʿalayya wa abūʾu bidhanbī, faghfir lī fa-innahu lā yaghfiru dh-dhunūba illā Ant.
O Allah, You are my Lord—none has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I uphold Your covenant and promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favor upon me and I acknowledge my sin—so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.
استغفر الله العظيم من كل ذنب أذنبتـــــه
Astaghfirullāh al-ʿAẓīm min kulli dhanbin adhnabtuh.
I seek forgiveness from Allah the Magnificent for every sin I have committed.

L’istighfar : porte du tawbah, de la miséricorde et du rizq

استغفر الله العظيم من كل إنسان ظلـمـته

Quand l’épreuve vous serre de toutes parts
Quand les épreuves vous entourent de tous côtés, rappelez-vous que votre Seigneur au ciel n’est jamais impuissant. Levez les mains et multipliez l’istighfar : Allah n’abandonne pas le serviteur repentant.
استغفر الله العظيم من كل بـــر أجــلته
Astaghfirullāh al-ʿAẓīm min kulli birrin ajaltuh.
